Scenic Barr’s Bay Park has shaded trees and benches and overlooks Hamilton Harbour and the docks of the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club. The sculpture “We Arrive”, by Chesley Trott, is part of the African Diaspora Heritage Trail. It commemorates the 1835 landing site of the slave ship Enterprise, one year after emancipation in Bermuda. Thanks to the efforts of the Bermudian community, the cargo of 78 slaves were freed.
