Their Majesties Chappel, St. Peter’s Church in Bermuda is believed to be the oldest continually used Anglican church in the Western hemisphere.
Established when Bermuda was settled by the Virginia Company in 1612, for over 400 years this has been the church of the Town of St George. It is a cultural and historic icon, a holy place at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Inside you will see the altar from the original structure. It was built in 1615 under the supervision of Bermudas first governor, Richard Moore. This is the oldest piece of woodwork in Bermuda.
