It’s not everyday someone offers a destination wedding in breathtaking Bermuda and agrees to pick up the tab too!  That’s the tantalizing offer being dangled right now in a contest put on by the Fairmont Hamilton Princess in cooperation with Destination Weddings & Honeymoons Magazine, JetBlue Airways and Saks Fifth Avenue.

To participate in what promoters call a “Dream Destination Wedding”, couples must submit an essay no longer than 500 words.  The submission should answer the question: “What getting married in Bermuda means to me?”

The entry deadline is May 31, 2010; the winning couple will be notified by June 15.  The wedding must take place this year at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.

The promotion is part of the Princess’s 125^th anniversary and coincides with the 5^th anniversary of Destination Weddings & Honeymoons.  A glossy spread on the contest appears in the magazine’s March issue.

The Dream Destination Wedding prize package includes:

• Ceremony and reception at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess for 20 people (up to $10,000)
• 10 hotel guest rooms at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess (double occupancy)
• 20 JetBlue airline tickets (departing from Boston or New York JFK)
• $1,000 Saks Fifth Avenue gift card

The total approximate retail value of the prize is $45,000.
