Bermuda hotel The Reefs has been named one of the finest resorts in the world.
It features on Travel & Leisure World’s Best Awards list, which is based on a survey of readers.
The Reefs has been ranked as 15th in the list of the Top 25 Resorts in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas, moving up three places from last year.
It has been recognised as one of the top 25 hotels in the region for the past 13 years.
The Reefs is owned by Bermudian David Dodwell, who is enjoying a double celebration after another of his hotels also made the prestigious list.
His Nisbet Plantation Beach Club on the Caribbean island of Nevis earned top honours as the number one resort in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas.
It also reached number six in the Top 100 Hotels in the World list.
The Reefs was named number one in Travel & Leisure World’s Best Awards survey in 2002.
The Travel & Leisure World’s Best Awards asks readers to rate hotels based on five characteristics — rooms and facilities, location, service, the restaurants and food and overall value.
