So You Think You Can Dance’s Nigel Lythgoe told a sold-out audience at the Fairmont Southampton Resort on Saturday night that plans are in the works with the National Dance Foundation of Bermuda to establish a co-branded master class series and a scholarship programme for boys.
Mr. Lythgoe is also co-founder of the Dizzy Feet Foundation, a non profit organization that provides scholarships and assistance to talented, underserved youth in the U.S. to help them realize their dreams of becoming professional dancers and works to elevate and standardize dance instruction. He prompted loud applause when he told the audience that So You Think You Can Dance choreographers and Dizzy Feet Foundation steering committee members Mia Michaels and Tyce Diorio are likely to be on the roster of instructors to come to Bermuda for the master class series.
