Contest Rules

Terms:
Bermuda.com's Contests have specific dates when submissons are accepted. Each specific contest is listed below with dates. By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest and states that they are 16 years old and older.

Who may enter:
Amateur Story writers and/or comments must be ages 16 and over, who reside in Bermuda - except for individuals affiliated with MediaHouse Limited or EasyPark or its subsidiaries, including employees, trustees, interns, volunteers, and their immediate families (children, siblings and spouses) and others living in their households - are eligible. Bermuda.com will determine winners' eligibility.

What to enter:
Stories / comments must be within the past one (1) year (since July 1, 2008). Entrants must not infringe on the rights of any other story writer or person. Stories that have won any other contests or have been published in magazines, calendars and newspapers (except online) are not eligible. Stories that violate or infringe upon another person's copyright are not eligible.

How to enter:
Please submit stories on-line through our Web site at bermuda.com/ locals. We do not accept stories submitted through the mail or by other means. Submit no more than one (1) comment per week. We do not accept more than one contestant per e-mail address. By entering the contest, entrants grant MediaHouse Limited, a group of companies including Bermuda.com, a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce, and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any MediaHouse purpose, including, but not limited to advertising and promotion of its publications and its Web sites, including but not limited to Bermuda.com publications. Photographs or stories may appear on the Bermuda.com site as well as in MediaHouse publications. Any photograph or story reproduced will include a credit. MediaHouse Limited will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.

Entry deadline:
All entries must be received at Bermuda.com's Web site by mid-night (Atlantic time) Sunday. To avoid uploading delays, please do not wait until the final days of the contest to enter.

Judging:
Judging will be conducted by Bermuda.com. Winning stories / comments and selected finalists will be published on the Bermuda.com website on Tuesdays and in the Bermuda Sun Wednesdays. Decisions of the judges will be final. Five (5) weekly winners will be selected randomly and posted on the website and Bermuda Sun. Please do not contact us about the status of entries. All winners will be notified by email as well as on the Bermuda.com website and in the Bermuda Sun.  The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Bermuda.com reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. Decisions of Bermuda.com will be final.

Prizes for EasyPark Contest:
5 EasyPark units will be given out each week for 10 weeks beginning Tuesday, September 15 through Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Five (5) EasyPark units will be given away each week, for 10 weeks. Winners will be chosen randomly.
